Need some Spiderman birthday party ideas? Elizabeth from Texas shares tips on how to have the coolest spider man party in town.
For my son Javon's third birthday party we wanted everything to be special.
We wanted our little man's day to be perfect.
I knew that anytime he was near a poster or toy of Spider Man he would explode with laughter and excitement grabbing for the thing.
So I knew it would be a great idea to go with the spider man theme.
I called Kroger and looked at their Spiderman birthday cakes before ordering ours. I decided to get half chocolate and half vanilla with butter cream icing. The cake was red, blue, and white and they did a great job on it.
Because our son's birthday is in November and we live in Texas, we knew it would be cold. So we decided to have an indoor party at Chuck E. Cheese because they have several age appropriate games and rides that we knew our son could enjoy. I called and had the reservation made.
Even though it was at Chuck E. Cheese, we were able to pull together activities and games that were related to Spiderman. We played these near the table before eating.
We did a pin the web on spiderman game and a super-spider-web game with a bunch of yarn. I went around with one long spool of yarn, the kids all held onto their sections. It turned into a giant web that everyone was tangled in. Then they had to use their "spidey senses" to figure out how to get out.
Before the day I had to get party gear and invite guests. I went to Wal-mart and Party City where I purchased Spider Man decorations like napkins, hats, bibs, plates, cups, gifts, and party bags. I wanted to make sure we got the "spidy" party bags and fill them with after party candy and goodies because as a kid, the party bag was the treat to look forward to when the fun is gone.
Inviting guest was easy because Javon has many cousins and we were able to invite all the children from his daycare class. Because Javon loved "spidy" so much I knew a Spider Man action figure would be the perfect gift.
To keep with the theme, my husband rented a Spider Man costume and came to the party dressed as Spider Man. This was the highlight. All the kids freaked out. Not just from our party, but everyone else at Chuck E. Cheese too.
We all had an incredible time. The important thing is that we brought a bright happy smile to our son's handsome face. I love him so much he made it all worth it.
