Kids Phineas and Ferb Birthday Party

My son's 8th birthday theme was based on his favorite show, Phineas and Ferb. We threw and kids Phineas and Ferb birthday party! The party took place in our backyard, so we used the theme from their backyard beach episode.

The party was on the last day of school for all the boys invited, so we used the theme song about summer vacation what to do during summer vacation as the invitations. We used the key phrases in the song and I downloaded a font to match the font from the show.

Phineas and Ferb Invitation

This is the text we put on the invitation: There's 104 days of summer vacation And school comes along just to end it. But Phineas and FERB have already decided Exactly how they'll start to spend it. Like Maybe. Going to Camden's House. For a Backyard Beach Blast On May 25th. From 2 - 4 they'll slide Down a giant water ride For his 8th Birthday. As you can see, We'll have a whole lot of stuff to do When school lets out for fall. So stick with us, cause, Phineas, FERB, and Camden Are gonna do it all! MOM, Phineas, FERB, and Camden are having a backyard beach blast. Wear your swimsuit and bring your towel or you are SO busted.

I received so many compliments on the invitation. One boy forgot his towel and he was afraid he was going to be busted.

Phineas and Ferb Decorations and Props

I used the main colors from the show for the balloons and the beach signs with an arrow pointing to the path to the backyard. Phineas and Ferb use arrows in their show.

I also used the same colors for the tablecloths and paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling of the back porch. I set up beach umbrellas and beach chairs around the yard. I hung beachcomber hats on the porch. Phineas and Ferb build outrageous contraptions and ideas in their backyard so we had to as well!

We rented an 18 foot inflatable water slide with a curve and a pool at the end to match something they would have in their backyard. It sounds expensive but it was only $200 for the rental fee and it added sooo much fun to the birthday party.

I wore an iron on Candice, a character from the show, shirt. I also wore beach type pants. I painted shirts for all my family helpers with their name in the colors from the show. My husband was Ferb.

I made a cd of songs. The first song was the backyard beach song from the show. The other songs were summer, beach, and current songs the boys like. We had a dance contest for the first snow cone.

Phineas and Ferb Birthday Party Food

I made a homemade 4 layer cake. Each layer was a different color from the show, blue/orange/turquiose/purple. The cake was iced in orange with blue trim and writing. I also had sugar cookies in the colors from the show. I used candy dispensers for gumballs and skittles.

In one episode, they used a snow cone machine to turn summer into winter, so we rented a snow cone machine. We also rented a cotton candy machine.

I ordered personalized candy wrappers with Phineas and Ferb on the wrappers. I wrapped these around chocolate bars. I also gave out extra large pixie sticks. I also put Phineas and Ferb tattoos on them when they got there. Even though it rained during most of the party, they boys still slid down the slide. I heard so many of them say this was the best party ever!
