We threw a "Knight in Shining Armor" knight birthday party for my son for my sons 5th birthday. He was infatuated by the knights of old. So we decided to give him a day of chivalry and fun. The first thing we had to do was come up with the activities and flow to control the 5 year old knights that would come to compete in the Festival for the Knighting of Sir Peyton.
The activities list came to:
1. Armor Making- using cardboard boxes and quick dry spray paint by the court jester the knights to be all make: wrist guards, breast plates, and helmets.
2.Pony Joust Ring Grab- where the knights to be ride guided ponies holding lances and wearing there party armor try to pick up hoops (cut out dollar Frisbees ) attached to 2x4 standing on end at the perfect height.
3.Save the damsel in distress beat the dragon bean bag toss- Using a large fridge box cut out three holes on a drawn on dragon if the knight gets a bean bag through a hole the defeat the dragon and the lady in waiting gives the knight a token of her favor a goody bag with candy and toys.
4.Magic bounce- Here the knights bounce around defying gravity like magic training (standard bouncy house we rented a dragon one)
