It's a Hannah Montana birthday party theme! Does your daughter dream of being Hannah or Miley? Most girls do! Claire from Bolingbrook, Illinois shares her ideas for a funky, rockin Montana birthday.
For my little sister's 10th birthday, we had a Hannah Montana themed party.
I helped my mom put it together and even though I'm a little old for the Miley Cyrus thing, I still had a really good time.
My sis and all her friends looooved it. They dressed up like Hannah and Miley and threw a concert for everyone.
For the invitations my mom used a pink glittery guitar. On the guitar it said Backstage Pass, along with the time and date. It also said for everyone to come with clothes to dress as Hannah and Miley.
Everyone showed up wearing all bright and funky clothing like she does in the show. We took pictures of everyone and called it a "photo shoot".
My mom had bought a bunch of blond wigs and brown wigs and we had them to complete the "switch" between Miley and Hannah.
The girls had fun switching back and forth between their regular school kid "Miley" looks and "Superstar Montana" looks.
The main activity was the "concert". Each of the girls sang a song with a blond wig, and then with a brown wig, and did their best to have their voices sound like different girls with each version.
We used cd's as the music, so even though it wasn't real karaoke, the girls seemed to enjoy singing along with the whole thing. It was a lot cheaper than trying to have a karaoke machine for it.
My mom and dad and me and a few of my friends were the "audience" for the show. At the end we made a big deal about judging it and how only one girl could win. And then we surprised them all by saying they were all so good that everyone was winning the grand prize!
The grand prizes were a goodie bag that included a Hannah Montana school supply kit (folder and pencils) and a mini microphone.
Later on we watched the Hannah Montana movie and several episodes of the show while we ate. My mom had a cake made that looked like Hannah and she served pizza too.
The decorations were all in the Hannah Montana theme such as the banners, streamers, and tableware. We did get creative with a few things. We made cutout microphones and hung them on the wall. My lil sis decorated them with glitter and gel pens. We also had a giant guitar as the center piece made out of pink construction paper that she glittered. My sister had an amazing party and she is still talking about it after over a year!
