Adult Garden Tea Party Birthday Theme

This is a Garden Tea Party birthday theme for an adult. I threw this party for my mother who is 53 years old. We rented white chairs and tables, but you could you use whatever you have available, and set them up outside.

Our invitations where in the shape of fun old fashion hats. We used a die cut machine to create these, fun, and very cheap. We wrote on them with a silver sparkle thick tip pen. We asked the guests to wear sun dresses.

For table decorations, we went to our local Goodwill and picked up a bunch of mismatching teacups and saucers. We bought inexpensive flowering plants and planted them in each of the tea cups. They turned out really cute.

For food we did a spiked ice tea punch. We followed the recipe for a long island but left out the carbonated soda because we where afraid it would go flat. We made tea, mixed vodka, and some white rum, juiced a bunch of lemons and limes and put a few cans of frozen lemonade in.

We had fun garden style snacks. We made a huge veggie tray with dipping sauce and a fruit platter that had edible flowers mingled in with the fruit. We had turkey sandwiches that we cut into the shape of a flower and adorned with tooth picks that we glued artificial flowers to the ends... They were the cutest little sandwiches!

We also had carrot cake cup cakes, and one bite brownies, and of course lots of garden fresh veggies. My mom loved the party and everyone had a lot of fun. There are many ways you could do this party and make it your own.
