40th Birthday Party Ideas : The Red Hot Mama's

40TH BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS THEME: The Red Hot Mama’s – Celebrating 40 Years! This birthday theme was designed as a group celebration for women who are turning 40 and experiencing menopause. It's a group birthday, but can also be adapted to be for one woman's 40th party.


Items you will need:
• Red colored invitations
• Return stamped envelopes
• Bags of red hot candies & candy bowls
• Red Hot Mama T-shirts (these can usually be found in any retail store for under $3
• Large sheet cake (with guest names written on it) – this can be
homemade or specially designed by a local retail bakery
• Red candles
• Bottle of non-alcoholic sparking champagne and glasses
• Time allotted for internet research of menopause symptoms
• Video screen and projector or lap top
• Karaoke machine

Red colored birthday invitations are created and mailed to all invitees along with an addressed stamped return envelope - enclosed with the invitation are instructions to write down one menopause related symptom they have experienced and return it in the stamped return envelope.

Upon arrival to the party, guest are given a T-shirt with the inscription “Red Hot Mama” and a glass of cold water for “hot flashes”. Guest are then called into the birthday room that is decorated with red balloons and candy bowls filled with red hot candies.

A video screen is set up to allow guest to view all the symptoms they wrote down (per the invitation instructions) – and under each symptom is listed either an answer, solution or tip for the symptom. Immediately afterwards, a large sheet cake is brought in with each guest name written on it, alongside a red candle – each guest is then asked to find their name on the cake and blow out “their” candle.

The non-alcoholic champagne is then brought in, along with a karaoke machine as each guest makes a toast and everyone is invited to sing “We Are Changing For The Better”! This party theme is not only fun, but it also provides information and support for one of the most important phases in a woman’s life!
