16th Birthday Party Theme Idea for Sons

Sixteen is the age where teenagers want to explore the mysteries of life & want to be treated like grown ups. My son is about to celebrate his Sweet 16th birthday in a months time & I would like to make it the most memorable 16th birthday party that any teenager would want to have. I'm planning it now.

The party will be celebrated on a Wednesday since most clubs will be free, cheap & easy to rent since business won't be that busy on a weekday. I have chosen a location that is quite appropriate & can hold a reasonable number of guests & paid 12,000 shillings down payment to book it in advance. Most people wait till the final day to make last minute decisions but planning earlier is always better.

I have also hired a DJ whom my son loves due to the music he plays & paid him a down payment of 5,000 shillings in advance to ensure that he makes free time of his schedule on that particular day.

The theme of the party is Night of Club Dancing since my son enjoys dancing so much. I have also booked some dancers to complement the title of the theme & paid them 2,500 shillings in advance. The colors I chose are blue & white (my son’s favorite colors). I also took advantage of a grand sale on offer for decorations. I purchased muffin cups for the muffins and paper plates to avoid any damages of plates by the teenagers.

The cards will be silver with a picture of some one dancing to prepare the guest for the mood of the party. The dress code will be elegant & cool, it will also have the beginning & the end of the party since all clubs are supposed to close by 12pm due to the noise pollution law enacted.

On the venue there will be a section where a flat screen Television set will be placed together with a play station game for those who love video games, a small section will have a table where beverages & snacks will be served and also another table will be placed just near the beverage section where gifts will be placed.

I have assigned some one to be taking pictures & video record the whole event so I won't be busy with that task. Since I want this to be a special night for me as well, I have informed the DJ to play a slow song so my son can dance with me one time.

The cake will be placed near the DJ cube but on a separate table. The cake is also blue & white reflecting the mode of the party. To give the party a club feeling I have hired three bouncers to ensure that things run smoothly. Like in the club there will also be light wine & punch. My son can’t wait for this day to come and he has started counting the days till the special 16th B-Day. Generally I have spent less & done away with the costs since everything has been payed for early enough & in advance.
